2. The Liberty BellOften seen as the symbol of American independence, the Liberty Bell was cast in 1752 to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of Philadelphia’s original Constitution. The final ring that essentially cracked the bell took place on Washington’s birthday in 1846 and from that day forward, it was set aside to be an iconic symbol. 4. Eastern State PenitentiaryIf you’re a fan of history and the paranormal, head to Eastern State Penitentiary – a former prison in operation from 1829 to 1971. The building was once inhabited by notorious criminals such as Al Capone, Willie Sutton, and Charles Yerkes. Today, the building is said to be haunted and is home to the annual “Terror Behind the Walls “event every Halloween.

5. Yards Brewing CompanyFor the lover of both beer and English tradition, Yards Brewing Company can’t be beat.
