Some Advice from Our EWR Airport Parking Members

It’s a brand new year! And that means plenty of new opportunities to travel the world. Whether you already have a trip planned or you’re thinking of planning one, our Newark parking company has found some helpful travel tips from the pros that you should remember:

Avoid airport congestion: Travel at off-peak hours to avoid crowds and long security lines. If possible, book a red-eye flight or the first flight of the morning and you’ll have more of the airport to yourself.

Make sure everything matches: To avoid overpacking, make sure all pieces of your clothing can be mixed and matched. You’ll not only save room, but you won’t have to think too much about what you want to wear for a certain event.

Keep snacks on hand: You never know where you’ll be when hunger strikes, so keep a couple snacks on you at all times. Things like dried fruit, granola bars, and beef jerky are good choices.

Be open to adventure: If you’re someone who plans your trip down to the minute, remember that sometimes the best things come when you least expect them. Relax on your next trip and be open to spontaneity and adventure.

Bring hand sanitizer: This pretty much speaks for itself – airports, airplanes, and taxis are full of germs so bring enough sanitizer to keep them at bay.

Limit your social media fix: Memories are made in the moment, so limit your use of Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and other social media platforms that can take away from fully enjoying your trip.

Use apps to make things easier: Whether it’s booking a flight or maneuvering through a country where you don’t know the language, there are plenty of travel apps that can make your trip go more smoothly.

Carry a reusable water bottle: Instead of buying a bottle of water once you go through security or on the plane, carry a reusable water bottle and fill it up whenever you can. Staying hydrated is important!

Make a list of things to pack: Start your list a couple weeks early and add onto it as you remember things. Once the day comes to leave, make sure everything is checked off of your list and you won’t stress because you forgot something.

Don’t forget entertainment: It’s always a good idea to bring something entertaining like a book, sketchbook, mp3 player, or tablet to keep you busy or help you kill time.

Make a digital copy of your credit cards: Before you leave, take pictures or scan all of your credit cards (and your license or passport) and email them to yourself. This way, if you lose anything, you’ll have a digital copy that you can access.

Park with Vista: Skip the hassle of Newark parking and park with us instead. We’ll take care of your car while you’re away so you won’t have to worry.
